Chapter History
The ZTA Northern Virginia (NOVA) Alumnae Chapter was chartered on March 14, 1949 based on the ideals of sisterhood and service, and today continues to intensify friendships while serving its community.
Since 1984, the NOVA Chapter has been the recipient of the Alumnae Crown Chapter Award for chapter excellence in areas of programming, service and collegiate involvement. Most recently, we recieved the Alumnae Crown Chapter award for the 2022-2024 biennium which added to the history of excellence we have (we have received the award in 2020-2022, 2018-2020, 2016-2018, 2014-2016, 2013-20214).
Our chapter has also been recognized by National Council at past International Conventions with the following awards:

The NOVA Chapter takes pride in its service to the community. Did you know that the ZTA NFL Think Pink program was started in October 1999 by our chapter? Read more about our chapter's philanthropy projects.
As an active member of the Northern Virginia Alumnae Panhellenic Association (NVAPA), ZTA recently served as President of the NVAPA. The NOVA chapter shares the responsibilities of membership with the Western Fairfax Alumnae Chapter.
Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter members have served and are currently serving as ZTA National Officers in the positions of District President IIIB, Province President IIIB and IIIG, National Alumnae Programming Chair, National Fraternity Education Chair, Government Relations Chair, ZTAF NFL Think Pink Chairman and Director National Housing Corporation.
